Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (“Trina Solar” or the “company”), a global leader in smart solar energy solutions for a net-zero future, has been recognised as an ‘Overall Highest Achiever’ for the outstanding performance of its Vertex N 700W series modules in the Renewable Energy Test Centre (RETC) 2023 PV Module Index Report. This is the fourth time Trina Solar has been honoured with the accolade.
The annual report from RETC, a leading independent test laboratory for photovoltaic and renewable energy products, evaluates the quality, performance and reliability of modules. This provides a reference for stakeholders to ensure they are choosing the highest quality products for solar projects.
During reliability tests, Trina Solar’s Vertex N 700W series modules performed particularly well in the DH2000 damp heat test, showing degradation as low as -0.87% and -0.96% compared to the benchmark threshold of less than -2%. The modules also performed well in both the SDML and TC 600 thermal cycle tests.
In performance tests, Trina Solar was named a highest achiever in both the LeTid test and PID test, which is twice as rigorous as IEC testing. Despite the challenging assessment process, the Vertex N 700W series modules showed degradation of just -0.59% and -0.53% after the PID test, and degradation of just -0.09% and -0.17% after the LeTID test.
In the quality test sequence, the modules successfully passed the thresher test. The consistent achievements of the Vertex N 700W series modules throughout RETC’s testing processes, and subsequentially being named ‘Overall Highest Achiever’, underlines Trina Solar’s continued efforts to provide quality PV products to customers worldwide.
Recently, Trina Solar has also been named ‘Top Performer’ by PVEL for the ninth consecutive year, was given the highest AAA ranking five times in a row in the PV ModuleTech Bankability report by PV Tech, and has been included on the Tier 1 PV Module Maker List numerous times by BNEF and TÜV Rheinland, certifying the safe use of its products in marine settings – an industry first.
